Kinetyx announces partnership with Canadian marathoner and Olympian Malindi Elmore

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Canadian Olympian and marathoner Malindi Elmore will be one of the first athletes to receive a pair of kinesomic sensory insoles from Kinetyx. The team at Kinetyx Sciences Inc. is announcing their new partnership with the five-time All-American distance runner, and is looking forward to the great strides—pun intended—that Elmore and Kinetyx will make together.

After finishing 9th in the Tokyo Olympics, Elmore has her sights set on the fall marathon season. Originally a middle-distance runner in her collegiate career, she competed at the Athens Olympics in 2004 in the 1500-meter race. Then, after having her second child, she decided to give long distance running a try. She quickly became the Canadian record holder with a 2:24:50 finish in  the Houston Marathon in 2020. Malindi's expertise across all distances of running make her the perfect partner for Kinetyx.

On working with Kinetyx, and the unprecedented quantification of bilateral mechanical running power, Elmore says:

“I am always looking for ways to become a better athlete. Having a tool which provides meaningful feedback can help me identify ways that I can become a faster, stronger runner.”

“Kinetyx has the potential to revolutionize how we measure and interpret movement data. This is something that will be so beneficial not only to high performance runners, but athletes across the range of sports and ability.”

We all want to be the best we can be at what we do and having the data that Kinetyx provides will be a game-changer. - Malindi Elmore

Accurate run power has long been a dream for many runners, and with the Kinetyx kinesomic sensory insoles, it's becoming a reality. The insoles measure mechanical power with a unique combination of sensors, so that athletes will have data that was previously only available in lab settings.

Elmore embodies many of Kinetyx’s core values, and working with her to understand how she has unlocked so much of her potential will be invaluable for the company as they work to upgrade human movement. Elmore is an accomplished running coach and will be developing training programs that complement the unique data made possible through their sensory insoles.

In coming months, Elmore will be working closely with Kinetyx to provide her expertise on the sensory insole system and the type of feedback that she needs as an athlete.

“I am looking forward to joining the team that is innovative and forward-thinking, and are also all round great people to work with.”
